The idea was:

PPl can join .. from the joined ppl the participants vote captains--> these caps vote teams --> then play a cup or season so the existing teams would not matter and the balance might not be to bad !

BUt as i said WONT HAPPEN !

see the thing is Teams would maybe need more than exactly 6 ppl so u got to go with 7 or maybe 8 ppl cause u acant everyone expect to have time all the time !

So to get a decent number of teams u need a lot of ppl .. and judging by the vote .. we dont even have enough active ppl anymore 8) !

They're probably mostly the same people that tend to rage quit and cause huge drama about not being able to use 200fps or whatever. No reason not to carry on without them. I'm a better fade than aA now anyway, so..

Gay believe me i thought this through .. i really wanted something to happen !

BUt theere are a lot of things like .. A russian team would nly join a season or cup when they are their team cause they need to talk russian .. that is one more team u would have in a normal event .. and stuff like that !

The saver bet to get a decent number of teams is a Season!

And srsly what would NS be without the Rage and the drama and the trolling 8) !

Edit: and well aA's fade is flashing so much it is hard to say if he is any good .. i mean he dies so fast .. who can tell srsly? ;D !

Ok I've given this some thought, and....

How about a gather cup + a russian team as long as it consists of a relatively similar skill set to the rest of the teams. Problem solved.

Just so you have an idea of what was discussed:

How do you treat forfeits?
How will we manage substitutes?
Will the skilled players even want to play?
Personality clashes aren't unlikely.

Commanders might be scarce.
What if captain's don't want to be captains?

The more I think about it, the harder I think it will be. Without the authority of a CL and formality that it creates, well-targeted action is almost impossible. BUT, the gather-cup will rely completely on a friendly atmosphere (which in turn, promotes shit teamwork tbh). Basically, the whole thing will be at the mercy of the players and they will make or break the whole thing.

I might be pessimistic but i'm not saying don't do it!

for ur questions:
1.) We will vote captains --> captains vote teams .. if captains are not complete morons balance should be ok (better than in last nightcups i guess)
2.)Roles will be determined by the captain (he will have a reason why to pick whom)
3.)I'd say 8 ppl to a team so u have substitutes and dont need carry mercs
4.)Well .. forfeits .. dunno like always ?
5.)well if 8 ppl per team i hope we wont need any substitues !
6.)Noone knows that tbh. but for now i would say wait for how many votes the poll gets (cause under 60 votes there is no use in starting it cause with 60 ppl u get 5 teams )
7.)Well captains will hopefully think about the personalitys aswell or they just rule with an iron fist in their team
8.) Commanders .. maybe a good chance for ppl to learn commanding and a lot of ppl can command they just dont like to do it .. (austrians for instance)
9.)Well that is why i included the Captain: Yes/No thing .. and if we dont have enough captains we will talk to the ppl that should be captains and "force" them ^^ ;D !
10.) Well pissing off ... can also happen when u got a team like trolls ...
11.)OFC we play 125 fps 200 would ruin balance !

Last but not least Captain == ClanLeader ! His First pick is second CL ! The teamwork might end up ok if captains yell enough (like i do ^^)
And yeah if players fuck up there is not much we can do about it but i guess we will have to wait and see!

Lastly i voted for Season !! so i share ur "pessimism" but if ppl want it i ll try to make it work and i am counting on Tweadle and NoWay to help ;D !

Yeah so you should really make a front page post detailing that you're only actually going to start a competition if the poll gets enough votes. I'm sure there are quite a few people who either don't give a shit about the poll/haven't noticed it, but would be willing to play a competition.
