You're also aware joshy (who never commands) was the commander of that mix and Kaneh who normally commands and doesn't field and was 1-12 or 1-15 for two of those rounds (sorry, Kaneh). On top of that the first 2 rounds lost were troll strats, three hive xeno rush with zero upgrades and your team still struggled. And when joshy actually was on the field and Kaneh was a proper commander, your team got trashed (minus the round where Kaneh didn't beacon)? So it was really more like 1-5.

Also, according to former player records, you lose two-thirds of your rounds against Sweetie and the Bots and the rounds I saw vs onFire were unimpressive, especially the marine slog round where you flashed 2 of their lerks off the bat, but for the next 40 minutes seemed completely lost with ridiculous calls for multiple hive pushes that couldn't be supported because of zero recapping. Once fades were up, it was a slow grind to defeat. Terrible calls.

Regardless, you can arrange a seeding match vs any Div 1 team by the weekend if you'd like to contest your seeding.

We were running a comm who hadnt commed in 1 year and had a lerk who has never lerked in Comp. Everyone has their excuses Zef. Amazing after the Joshhy roll on tram we 1-1 you on veil with Kaneh comming.

Those stats were personal team stats which shouldnt have been yours to look at except for a disgruntled ex-player decided to let you. If you will notice we have been 1-1ing sweetie and the bots consistently now even with our handicap of our old comm. We have progressed a lot and of course if you look at stats as a whole it looks bad. Look at the last 2 months instead.

As with the scrim against you and joshy, we still managed a 3-3 no matter what your excuses are. The "Roll" came from one of the best players in the game once he fielded, but he coudlnt even carry hard enough for veil. We 1-1'd you.

Right, everyone has their excuses. So a team in turmoil, who lost their commander and one of their main lerks. I also watched 90% of your scrims in the last few months. Arrange a seeding match. You will likely perform in the middle/bottom of div 1. My advice to your team last season was to stay in div 3 even when you drew on a div 2 seeding match. You guys lost every single match (decimated) but a draw in Season 4 after you went against my advice. If you want to follow down the same path, please arrange a seeding match. You guys have gotten much better over the summer, but with recent events, I think it'll be a repeat of last season if you were moved up and I wanted to give you more of a chance for success. Good luck this coming season.

Remember to organize a seeding match if you want to move up. Zefram, me or another Referee could attempt to watch any games to make sure your team is seeded in the appropriate group.

About Over.Extension, I'd like to see by myself a proper scrim against an European team. With your full roster if possible.

@dePARA, there are also some people asking the reasons your team has been seeded in Division 1 instead of Gorge Busters. My concern is more about your both teams fighting to ensure you can pretend to a certain division, that means a seeding match between HBZ vs. gB should be awesome.
Is there any issue on the current divisions in your opinion?

Zefram, not sure what you mean by recent events. Our last Sweetie and the Bots scrim went 4-2 in our favor, and you merced for them in that game. The onFire game wasn't exactly stellar on either side and we didn't get to play our alien round, which is our stronger side by far. Our win percentage over the last month against Sweetie's team is 46%. We went 3-3 against the mix of Div 1+ players last Friday with an out-of-practice commander and a brand new lerk, and though Kaneh's KDR wasn't stellar in his 2 field rounds, he spent most of his time doing non-combat tasks. Note that we were up against joshhhy in the other rounds, who led the leaderboard every game, and Kaneh's commanding, but still took one of those rounds decisively.

Since you put us into division 1 about a week ago, we've won 50% of all of our scrims (all of which you participated in, I believe), mixes included, and our win rate against Sweetie and the Bots has been 50% over the last two weeks. There was only one recommendation that we be put in div 2, and it was by a European player who isn't very familiar with us, while a European player who actually has played us suggested we be moved back up. You yourself say we can perform at the mid-to-low div 1 level. Bumping us down a division when we're holding our own against Div 1 doesn't seem justifiable.

Fisk, that's actually one of the major reasons I lowered your team's seeding. Your and Rising's analysis of your rounds on the field and what I actually see during spectate or when I do merc for teams against you.. is shockingly dissimilar. Rounds often are not as close or "decisive" as you perceive. I literally listed all the reasons why specific scrims/rounds happened the way they do, but they're just discounted and marked as excuses. Then in a laughable turn, excuses are made for your team for why you performed a certain way.

It's like you guys don't read people's comments and just hold to your guns and stubbornly stick to an idea even when the opposition is detailed and well constructed. Sounds a lot like the trends in CompMod and NS2+ threads. I also intended to have these conversations about seedings in private, because I knew there'd be disagreements and wanted to spare any embarrassment by asking in my post to take it to personal PM, but you want a public discussion.

Life is easy. Put your money where your mouth is...play a seeding match. I'll even help you arrange a match with any team in Div 1.

But whatever. From what I understand, OE was called solidly div 2 before 1 and 2 were temporarily combined. So, now that the merge has been reversed, you're back in div 2 again because both divs are viable separate again. Just play a seeding match -- this is your choice to have an easy or hard season, just like last season, except this time it's not just Tomtom who decides it. :P

first I wanna say that I didn't read the rules from season 5 yet and assume that they are mostly the same of season 4

looking at the seedings we have all the divisions in one group (meaning there is no group A and B anymore). So I wanna ask if playoffs are still needed for season 5? I understand playoffs as a mechanic to put the strongest teams of each group against one another but now that we only have 1 group it is kinda pointless in my oppinion

Even in the divisions without A and B groupings last season, there were playoffs. Likely no quarterfinals though. Even a 4 team semifinal is debatable. May just have the top two teams do a best of seven.

I've given them a few days to organize and be heard. It's important for people to be listened to even if it opposes my views and how I prefer how to manage the league. If people have genuine issues, the best thing is usually to message me and actually speak to me rather than gather mobs with rumors and conjecture. But no one has actually contacted me and I've had to go out of my way to contact them about their disgruntled attitudes to bring it to the surface. It's actually pretty amazing what people can do when they take a personal approach rather than inciteful posts in public forums.

If nothing gets presented soon, I'm not delaying matches any longer.

K, so since playing with Over.Extension for about a month now, in the scrims I've personally played vs Sweetie and the Mercs resulted in 4-0, 2-2, and 4-2. I spec'd against onFire cuz I was having sound problems. Played against Singularity w/ joshy/you mercing the other week and went 3-3. Since you've had a lot to say about how it was really "1-5" since joshy was comming using troll strats and we "still struggled," lets take a look at that entire series with some screenshots.

Now, this is my first season of competitive play and I would like to get better with this team. The best way to do that is by playing teams that are on your level and better. We've been doing a pretty solid job holding our own against the Division 1 competition. The fact that your going on here bashing our performance, blatantly making up lies and downplaying our success is both malicious and unprofessional and it really annoys me. I don't know if you have a grudge with Rising or Fiskbit but it certainly feels like your not willing to give credit where it is due.

Three people from the same team who obviously don't actually read/comprehend posts or listen to reason. It's amazing and pretty telling. Your pictures are great. They show a commander who never plays on the field getting crushed (sorry, Kaneh). Do you know what happens when one player on the team is significantly weaker than the others, even when left to recapping duties? Obviously you and your teammates don't. But hey, look at the results, 3-3, and discount whatever was going on in the rounds. Congrats. OE's done a great job at persistently playing through the summer and has come a long way and improved much since their winless season from Season 4.

And this will be about as unprofessional as I've ever publicly posted... Go FUCK YOURSELF. If you think I've ever lied to the community and been unprofessional. The only one making fools of themselves recently is Frik and Frak on your team with 80% of their natterings on the forums and these comment threads. I usually have an abundant amount of tolerance for idiocy, but these days my patience and respect for people who don't deserve it has been tested and it's kind of reached its end.

Good luck this coming season. It'll be fun to watch.

We're moving forward. Everyone seems pleased with the seedings and a schedule will be posted in the next few days.

Don't know about the current situation of PFB, there are a few guys from former PFG in it. If they are not div3-material yet, I am sure that they will be soon, since they constantly and rapidly improved last season and basically had been div3 at the end of s4.

Anyways we are playing PFB tonight, you are invited to watch it. I guess that will give some insights.

There are some good players in BGR too.

To sum it up:
I think both teams can give at least Diamond Gamers, Lucky Fkers and Destiny's Child(?) a good battle.

The question is, if one of them dares to move up. It is basically their decission. It would even the division sizes at least.

Of course I like playing 8 games in the season instead of 7, but it means more downtime for the rest :/

I think BGR = team Poland (except X-rayCat and I have no idea how much carry he was). And if I remember correctly the PCWs from team Poland against TAWsome were in favour of team Poland, but I personally think you would have a hard time in div3 aswell...

The reason I think we should be placed in div4 cause almost 3guys of the "main" team hardly are playing ns2 at the moment, and we have no teamwork what so ever

Sure, however - as Mephilles said - you had some scrims beforehand as team Poland. So it's not like you play the first time together either.

I will not shout: "They so stronk. Oh my gawd, move them up!". Again: I see you somewhere between current div3/div4.

There is little sense in one person saying: "They are good". And another saying: "They are not". In Germany we have a saying about football: The truth lies on the pitch ("Die Wahrheit liegt auf dem Platz"). It means you can evaluate/discuss all day long which team is how strong. But in the end you will never know until you let them actually play. Which is why I think most of the seedings discussions are futile. And that is the same reason I stop it here.

It is up to you guys. You know yourselves better than any other. If you feel ambitious you should arrange a seeding match against one of the teams I listed in the previous comment. I, personally, grant you chances against those teams. If you would have a hard time in div3 or not, depends on how fast you improve in my opinion.

Mercing/Watching in TAWific (div3) and leading TAWsome (div4), I dare to say I have some experience in distinguishing between these two divisions - at least for the EU teams.

Btw: We should scrim!

We have just over 200 comp players signed up for S5 (assuming 6 players per team with 36 teams). If there are over 100 supporters for this secret cause, then that'd be half of us. It isn't. None of us know what is going on. I'm not even playing this season and I think this is stupid. Stop listening to trolls and get going.

GorgeCastingCouch/Starke Fischerboot had a pcw with Team Poland/BGR a few days ago. Nice bunch of guys, just like the Russians. They are fun to scrim with and even with my team outskilling them in some situations (looking at you cr4zy *winkwink*), they never lost their good spirit. I am convinced they would perform more than well in div 4 and can definitely challenge some of the current div 3 teams.

They could attempt to stick in division 1 as long as Tinki and RioS (both together) play for their team. In the current state of the team, Tinki won't play except if one of their regular members is away for some reasons and RioS shouldn't be there the whole season.

+ their recent scrim against onFire have proved playing in division 1 won't be kind of funny in any way for 3hrsLater and the other teams they will be facing.

Definitely not, imo. :) Not to be humble (or don't know if you're trolling) but some of us didn't even play competitive before (a season) and others are comp players that didn't play in a while. We don't have a strong line up, compared to other div2 teams
We'll see I guess. But no div 1 for us, it's definitely over our league, no doubt about that
