Week 5 Predictions
Yet again my predictions arrive late!
I have discovered that I have been suffering from Depression, brought on by the constant harassment and demands faced by an ENSL Predictor.
You all think I’m just a big burly Irishman here to take your abuse, but I’m really a fragile butterfly.
Admirable’s Division 1 Predictions
I am currently undergoing treatment and I think we can beat this, together.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my fans for their prayers and support. <3
Snowrollers vs. Team Russia
This is an interesting one. The Swedes will be looking at this as a chance to claim a few points after a string of tough games. But I imagine the Russians will have other plans.
I had the opportunity to merc for Snowrollers at the weekend vs. Sprogga, so I have had a little insight as to how they 'roll'. As Marine they seemed very lethargic with a poor awareness of their teammates and a bit lacking in common sense. They really need to play more together in order to iron out these issues, but I got the feeling that they just wanted to get the more daunting matches over and done with. So I hope they will be more enthusiastic against a more evenly matched opponent. The Alien Rounds I have seen them play tend to be dependent on the performances of Taurus and Action_IHOP7 as Fade and Lerk. Some poor decision-making from over eager Skulks in the early game has resulted in heavy casualties; I hope they can rectify this.
I was on the receiving end of a beating from Team Russia last week, but I was not entirely convinced by their victory. They have a strong Alien Round with a heavy emphasis on tanking and good pressure on Marine RTs. Whilst it is not my intention to complain about reg, when you are playing against a team whose pings range from 12 to 120 you really need to keep shooting until you are sure they are dead, don’t just assume those twenty rounds killed that skulk! This has been the downfall of many a complacent opponent. As I’ve said before their Marine Round tends to hinge on how well Macpersil does with the Shotgun. I have seen a tendency to use their weakest players to cover RTs and this can make it too easy for smart teams to dictate map control. Let's see what happens!
Impact players:
sR | : Wicker (Marine), Action_IHOP7 (Immortal Lerk), Taurus (Lag Fade)
.ru : Macpersil (Psychotic Lerk/Shotgun), ares (T80), Snake (Fade)
Snowrollers 1 - 3 Team Russia
Adz’ Final Thought: If Snowrollers give themselves a good shake, I think they could put up a good fight to a formidable Team Russia.
Quaxy Gayming vs. Flatline-Ns
It seems Finland’s Z Team (not you saunamen!) are intent on overthrowing my Prediction Dynasty. This week I shall quash the rebellion! I swear on the name of the Almighty Flayra that Quaxy Gayming shall be defeated!
Oh Quaxy! I can’t stay mad at you. The plucky upstarts really caught their neighbours with their pants down last week. After the saunamen had steamrolled Quaxy’s Alien Round on Eclipse, things were looking good for my 4-0 predictions. It fell to Nova to produce an ace from up his sleeve with decisive blitzkrieg siege on S.Loop and PSJ. Genius! Some great sportsmanship was shown on Orbital too, replaying their Alien Round after a convincing win only to win again in a convincing draw. A special mention goes out to Lolita’s Skulking for the unrelenting pressure on RTs.
This is all well and good, but Flatline-Ns are a much more intimidating prospect than the current incarnation of saunamen. They have been more and more as the season has progressed and the trademark German efficiency has been fine-tuned to establish them as the frontrunner for ENSL8 despite what the league table says at the moment. Despite the absence of HiVeFiSh recently, the German War Machine is still churning out the victories. I was hopeful that DU.eu would put them to the test last week, but I guess that will play out at a later date. This game might not be a walkover, but a victory I can assure you!
Impact players:
Quaxy - : Nova (Siege Supremo), Vartija (Multifunctional), Talis (Shotgun/Fade)
~flatline-ns` : Cosmic (+use), Morvie (+attack), HiVeFiSh (+hfts)
Quaxy Gayming 0 - 4 Flatline-Ns
Adz’ Final Thought: The Germans will devour the lovable Finns. It’s Natural Selection, baby!
saunamen vs. CRAB BATTLE!!!
Saunamen’s fourth place doesn’t look so certain this week. They have been wounded and the sharks are circling, maybe even the CRABS can pick up a few scraps!
I doubt I was the only one shocked to see that saunamen only managed a draw versus Quaxy. I understand that they are only really active as a clan at the weekends, but they still have a heritage of excellence. I just expected more. Anyway, that’s enough negativity for now. The Finns need to come out all guns blazing this week to reinforce their position in the league table. This is definitely a fixture that they should win, having both a superior roster and a long history of playing together compared to their unkempt opposition. I hope last week was just a bump in the road and they can produce some quality performances.
Some restructuring has been reported from CRAB BATTLE!!! Headquarters. The “Mad Professor of NSâ€ÂÂ, Arj, has decided to part ways with the team leaving a the Command Chair unoccupied. All is not lost though as Admirable as stepped up to the plate with his good-but-not-great styling’s. He’s looking to hit a homerun, but it could be a swing and a miss! Referring to myself in the third person is getting confusing, so I’ll just wrap this up by saying that CRAB BATTLE!!! performed poorly against Team Russia and will be eager to do some damage. They’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain!
Impact players:
CRAB BATTLE!!! : Admirable (Comm!), GuiZ (Le joueur d'impact), FluKe (Lerk)
saunamen - : pimppy (Marine), Citrus (Fade), NsN (Marine/Fade)
saunamen 3 - 1 CRAB BATTLE!!!
Adz’ Final Thought: Are saunamen on the slippery slope to failure or will they be serving up steamed CRAB?
Destination Unknown vs. The Sproggalots
The ultimate item on this week’s Menu of Mayhem is a tasty prospect indeed! With the big showdown between DU.eu and Flatline postponed until further notice, my appetite for destruction has gone unsatisfied.
Destination Unknown have slipped off my radar in the last week. Sherlock Holmes here has detected a bit a slump on the activity front. No coincidence then that Scl has proposed a four team playoff to round off ENSL 8. It’s a good idea, but it is perhaps a little unfair to go inactive midway through the season because you know you will still reach the playoffs. League politics aside, this perceived inactivity in their roster does not bode well for the 8.5 Finns. If they do decide to play this fixture this week, they will be at a big disadvantage to the hyperactive Sproggalots.
I’m getting a little pessimistic as we pass the halfway point of the season, but there are some cracking games coming up. This definitely promises to be one of the highlights. The Sproggalots have been putting in the hours, and there is a definite improvement since Week 1. With several excellent additions to the squad (Player\Lagga\Sherpa), constant refinement and a good camaraderie the outlook is excellent. GibbZ and Tweadle have done an impressive job so far in maintaining a quality team and this game will be a milestone on the road to Flatline and perhaps the coveted title.
Impact players:
DU.eu - : Scl (Best Marine in NS?), N@de (Most Improved), doogie (Paella Power)
sprogga ~ : Willa (The Legend Returns), Sheep (Can aim, apparently), Enigmatic (Flash Lerk)
Destination Unknown 1 - 3 The Sproggalots
Adz’ Final Thought: I don’t see this game being played this week, but Sprogga are fighting fit and should be able to take that extra round from the semi-active DU.eu.

You cheat in RPS by waiting until you see your opponents choice before you show yours. It's almost impossible to notice when someone's doing it -- unless you're also doing it!
