ENSL Season 13 Rules
1. General Rules
- All the General Rules apply in the League.
- The League Contains one division divided into two groups A and B, six teams each.
- Each team will play one match per week, 5 matches in total.
- To schedule the game team leaders should contact each other, agree on the date and contact League Admin to put it into the system.
- After 5 weeks two best teams in each groups go to the semi-finals (A1-B2, A2-B1). The winners of those matches will meet in finals.
- The 3rd and 4th team in each group will fight in semis for another title (A3-B4, A4-B3). The winners will play in finals.
- Teams can be removed from the league by Admin decision (most often due to inactivity)
- The rules may change during the season if the ENSL staff detects any major abuse.
2. The match
- TeamA starts the both map as marines. (TeamA vs TeamB match sheet)
- Maps should be played in the order displayed in match sheet.
3. Scoring
- Team gets one point for every round won.
- Each team get one point for showing up EXACLY ON TIME (CET time), with 6 players in the correct team (verified by admin/referee/server logs).
- If one of the team do not have 6 players on server within 15 min of the scheduled match time, they loose the game by forfeit.
- If neither of the teams shows up within 15 mins, there will be a double forfeit and neither team receives any points.
- Any offensive behavior towards admins, referees or oppositing team members is forbidden. Violation causes 1 point deduction in team's score.
- Each player has to use their real ENSL database nick during the game. The clan tag is required also. Violation will cause 1 point loss for the team.
- Team can lose only one point by violating rules 3.5 & 3.6 and League admins make the decision about it after match by analysing the demos.
4. Server
- Teams make a decision about the server in same time when they shedule the game. (Teams have to agree on 1 server)
- Teams should check the server before choosing it, there's quite little ENSL can do if you suddenly get connection problems once the match is started.
- Server changes can only take place between the rounds and by agreement of both teams & referee. If the round is in progress, finish it before leaving the team or doing anything else radical.
- In case of server crash, the round in progress gets replayed.
- Each game versus "250 da ping" and "Demonic Soul" should be played on server located in USA.
5. Final words
Most of the rules are stricter this season. If you want to allow your opponent a rule breach (forfeit timer for example), contact a referee. Show good sportsmanship whenever possible and keep in mind that every is doing this on their free time.
Still, it's good to remember that any sportsmanship the opponent team shows is not required by the rules. The ENSL staff can't for example force the opponent to give you extra time to get the 6 players to the server.
---------------------------
The Semi-Final Phase Rules:
1. The top two teams of each division advance to the semi-finals. The team ranked first in group A plays the group B's team that finished second and the other way round with the two remaining teams.
2. The teams finisihing 3rd and 4th in the divisions will play for the 'Tier-2 Title'. The opponents for semi-finals are picked in the similar way as for the main ENSL 13 title (For example Group A 3rd - Group B 4th).
3. If two teams finish with the same score in the league phase, the regular season match between the tied teams decides the higher ranked team.
If the match was a tie, there are two options:
- In case both teams get to playoffs anyway, the higher ranked team will be decided by a coin toss.
-If only one of the teams is going to get through to the semi-finals, there will be a 2-map tie-breaker match.
4. Each team picks a map from the season's maplist (ns_veil, ns_eclipse, ns_origin, ns_metal, ns_tanith) and informs the admin at 7th December at latest. If teams do not choose their maps admins will do it for them.
5. In case the semi-final matches end up in tie after 2 maps, there will be tie-breakers until the winner is decided. The 1st tie-breaker map will be the first on the pool, excluding the maps already picked by the teams.
6. The winners of the semi-finals will play in the final. The same set of rules applies to the finals.

The sportsmanship point for arriving on time and being ready is a very good motivator to get your stuff sorted and to not bother 10 other players with endless waits..
So n1!

What about :
- wiggle jump script
- changing fps_max during game ?
These are not mentioned in the general rules or the above rules. I think it should be forbidden, even though i'd be the first to use them if it happens you don't forbid then.

Never been a problem in the past, they dont want to add us basicly is because they are affraid the final will be during christmas somewhere, i somehow agree with this, where it not for the fact that at least 1 team is gonna fold. I feel very sad about this, and hope the admins can reconsider, with in their back of their heads the fold % of all seasons. And yes, we are a REAL contender.

It's an unfortunate situation. In retrospect me and frG should've come to a decision sooner. Partly my fault for being so indecisive.
It's just a technicality, but you weren't kicked doogie. frG and I talked and agreed it was best if you guys made your own team, so he removed you and himself from the team.
The worst part of it is that it's just how it is. Seven teams in one division will force the season into Christmas, which isn't going to work at all. Even if one team folds, the schedule will be broken if you join before they fold. Maybe you can replace a folding team at some point during the season?

Sorry, I didnt know you got "kicked".
Replacing an inactive team, would probably not give you the best conditions for reaching the semis, but as Fana pointed out, it is the only option you got.
.. If the admins will let you, wich I think they should.

and yes, I got kicked from frG clan just 10 min after he told me about apply in that website. He took like 3-4 players who I was thinking for a next project and he acts like that being the leader of a "serious team"?
I won´t like this situation but you deserve it.
And only for that moment, the first in my gaming life, I aplause nine legend to clean himself of lame/shitty/kidide guys.

Correct, although i am very handsome and smart i am unfortunately not a psychic. What does bother me though is just the fact that in even in such a small community the admins try to maintain the 6 team structure, to try and prevent any long dragging seasons. This is utter bullshitn and has to be fixed, i can't take any more of this shit.

fps_max cannot be changed in game, this is a plugin prevention.
wiggle jump script is not blocked.

Basicly is not only about prelonging the season but also about ruining whole system, if you would be a bit earlier we could think about making 5 team div1 ....

I bet it's still forbidden though, am I right ?3 November 2009, 17:20

Bullshit, not hard to rework the system, remember on monday there were no matches played yet, i know its not a big deal to add extra teams after the deadline, because i've done it myself. I agree it's a bit of effort, but i know you guys aren't lazy.
3 November 2009, 18:58

it's kind of weird that admins are making a really big deal of adding one more team, even leagues like esl or clanbase don't make that big problems out of such small things.

huhuh. Going from the old rules, yes wiggle jump script is forbidden. I can't see any reason why they would change that and unban it though?

why should you block teams from entering the league. the divisions have never been even in numbers, and some teams always fold in the middle of the season.
there used to be 5(?) divisions and there was still room for every team who wanted to compete. now youre down to 2 divs and are preventing teams from joining? forgive me if i dont follow the logic
