Season 15: Week 2 Predictions!
Week 2 Preds!
Ok, due to the lack of HLTV demos I'll do my part a little different this week. First of all, the things I learned from the few HLTV demos right now:
Ninelegends are simply a few steps ahead TeamF in general
Gorgerush is rusty on their teamwork and especially skulkwork isn't up to the challenges. Makaveli's shotgun is still deadly though.
U GO/Trolls are doing generally fine, although they seem to be lacking a voluntary commander.
Apparently there are some more demos available somewhere, but so far I haven't seen them anywhere. I'll check them out if someone points out where to find them.
In case you've seen something interesting on the HLTV on week 1, please contribute with comments. Right now any piece of information is appreciated greatly.

250 de ping vs teampol
250 de ping: Opened with a 2-2 tie against the newly founded Not Homophobic.
Teampol: Lost 3-1 to Changin THE METAGAME on week 1.
Not much to add to last week's early analysis. I think 250 de ping is higher skill wise, but usually their lack of overall strategical routine has stopped them from claiming wins against tougher teams. TeamPol on the other hand lacks the overall all around big hitters to finish succesful SG pushes and lifeforms to survive to the 2 hives on aliens.
My prediction is 3-1 for 250 de Ping, taking both rounds on Metal.
New Team vs Anonym Anti Anti A.
New Team: Opened with a 4-0 win against 2Ram
Anonym Anti Anti A: Hasn't played any games yet.
The AAAA being in the activity shape they are, I don't think they are going to be much of a match against New Team.
My pred is 4-0 for New Team, if this gets played at all.
2RAM vs Stray Dogs
2RAM: Lost 4-0 new team on week 1.
SD: No matches so far this season.
Total blindshot without having the demos. In general, I think the Argentians are slightly ahead in skill, while SD comes back with teamwork and strategy. As whole, I think SD is a bit stronger of a team.
3 - 1 for SD, although the (Lucid/Metal) mapcycle is pretty nasty for taking marine wins.
Not Homophobic vs changin THE METAGAME
Not Homophobic: 2-2 vs 250 de ping on week 1.
Changin THE METAGAME: Won 3-1 against TeamPol on week 1.
I think this is going to be relatively even. Both teams are fielding a solid basic lineup, but both also lack the exceptional powerhouses to make the difference. My notoriously inaccurate predictor sense is slightly twinkling towards a Not Homophobic win, but I think the maps are going to turn this into a tie.
2-2, alien tie.
TrC's predictions:
I would hope to see demos next week referees!
Here we go
TeaM Fantasy vs Danny Est Gros
Team Fantasy faced Ninelegends in their first ensl 15 round resulting on almost completely one-sided defeat. Fantasy's week activity is rising hopefully resulting in more even games as the season progressess and players rub the rust off but the lack of actual roles still hurt. Team play wise Fantasy's gameplay was a total wreck from speed to positioning, if they plan on having any chance at all they must fix the basics first.
Danny Est Gros took more or less easy 4-0 from prostokvashino in the first round. Ignoring the Dannyism, their lineup consists late(?) take over members and judging from their pcwing in last week they have not lost the edge. While the team may lack "pro" fades most of DeGs can fade pretty adequately which favors them if the game progressess to the very late game.
Danny est Gros has the advantage here but few unlucky fades / rt pushes may turn the game even
I bet very bold 2-2
prostokvashino vs CAL-NS
prostokvashino first round 4-0 loss against DeGs doesnt really give the right picture, russians have a few good and active players that really can rival their previous opponent which leaves me to doubt their activeness as a team. It is clear that these players have played with each other in past and I can see them only improving throughout the season, they are forminable opponent especially with their best lineup.
CAL-NS managed to pull off 1 round of TROLLS apparently through latency issues which isnt really a new thing in cross continent games (Especially against TROLLS). CAL-NS has quite a few well-known players even in europe but team seems to be more like mix regardless I know too little to say anything specific.
Due latency and fps problems on both maps this could really go both way I find 4-0 to either very unlikely.
I vote 3-1 to prostokvashino
TROLLS vs Saunamen
Saunamen are making appearence once again while perhaps not in top notch still extremely deadly. Tane's shotgun especially was devastating in early stage pcw against TeaM Fantasy, although I maybe wrong Saunamens activity is quite limited to jiriki-Tane combo and these two will play huge role in next match. I'm curious to see who is going to comm as jiriki is quite capable in the field aswell, perhaps Peacham? I think not.
TROLLS reminded us that they are capable by beating CAL-ns in round 1 and I bet they are happy to leave perhaps the last over continent battle behind. If you have followed NS competitive these names probably stand out not only because they are where the drama is but seer strength that allows them to play at the finals/semifinals in both seasons and nightcups. Everyone is capable of every lifeform but I would be surprised to not see Sublime lerking and aA / multi fading.
Most likely the match of the week spectators keep an eye out for this, hopefully we'll get this shoutcasted , I would give TROLLS the favor due having played already at first week and less lineup "problems".
3-1 to TROLLS.
That's it for this week. Supply us with some interesting demos and there should be some extra coverage.

Still it's good to be underdogs, while I don't understand why people understimate players like leipa or Nade.

It's good that you know other clans business better than their in-game leaders. Especially when I have played with Scale from early 2.0 to late 3.1 in same clan, and all that time I was his in-game leader.
But he was by far most limited player in Levitacus and therefore not same level likes of Leon, Inva, Talis or Hopsu. Sure, he was one the best lerks ever and really good lmger, but apart from that he was nothing.

I don't actually, I'm merely stating an obvious fault in your reasoning. You even admit it yourself: "he was a great lerk" (and lmger).
He was your only cele Lerk capable player, one of the most capable in Europe at that, during 3.0 and 3.1, two versions of the game where cele Lerks were the cornerstone of good alien play. To call that player your worst... It's ridiculous. There's no other word for it.
Bear in mind, this really has nothing to do with your point that this and that player are underrated. Sure, you're allowed to have that opinion. I have the same opinion of many players I've played with, as I'm sure all other captains have of their players. Ratings are opinion, we all know that shit is flawed.
(like how everyone rates my Lerk based on how I did in Knife, when I was terrible and still learning how to do it, instead of my period in nL when I was actually good at it COUGH-NOT-EGO-BUTTHURT-AT-ALL-I-PROMISE).

Bear in mind that while you accuse me of ignoring other aspects of the game, you're apparently doing exactly the same thing you accuse me of, only to the gameplay part I'm putting emphasis on. The difference is: I'm not arguing for the extreme alternative. I'm not claiming Scale was your best player, or even one of your better players, I'm just saying it's ridiculous to label him as your worst player given the circumstances.

The sR 2-2 sauna game imo was more impressive. We almost made it 3-1 with an argueably weaker roster than "Isho".
Ahh nothing like being the underdog. Those games were so fun.
