It's Not Too Late
UWE Sponsored NSL Servers
For quite some time, the league hasn't had any servers of its own. Instead, we relied upon the generosity of community members such as Vindaloo, Wasabi, Kaneh, and the NS2-Fr community to provide as we played matches during last season, the draft tournaments, and our daily gathers. If I've missed anyone, please let me know and I'll add you to the list. Just wanted to give a big thanks for stepping up when the community needed you.
We also want to give a huge thanks to Unknown Worlds for their continued support of our league. As of this week, they've decided give us FIVE servers to use however we'd like. The servers will be ready to use within the next few days and are located in London (2), Paris, Los Angeles, and Singapore. Look out for them and the password will be "ns2nsl". Thanks again, UWE. This coming season will run a lot smoother with your backing.
Nations Cup
The Nations Cup is on! At the very last minute, teams from the UK and France joined Poland, Germany, and the USA in the competion to determine which country houses the best players in the world.
The format will be similar to the draft tournaments that were held this summer with each nation playing every other nation once in the round robin group stage. Each match will consist of ONE map. One point will be award for each round won. After all the matches are played, the top TWO point totals will move to a playoff best of FIVE final.
Once you've scheduled your matches, please leave a comment on the match page with the time and date it will be played.
Although there are dates for each match, the expectation is that teams will schedule matches at both teams' convenience and wrap up the group stage and finals by September 20th. As most of the nations are European and can play on the weekdays, please allow a few hours on the weekend to play the USA team.
Referees and Casters, please check out your subforums for the google doc sign up sheet. Thanks!
