A few of you might be familiar with Rocketbeans.tv (www.rocketbeans.tv), it is the biggest German 24/7 Twitch-Stream with 20.000 and more viewers on prime time. They play various games including new releases and retro games and also host gaming talkshows.
On February 2nd, they hosted a community event called "Community Beef" and played Natural Selection 2 for 2 hours. During this period, a constant 17.000 viewers and more were watching the stream. Videos of this event can now be found on YouTube, it is split up into four parts:
Part 1 (Tram & Veil): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLBtIuMhkZ8
Part 2 (Docking): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIlZQ95GoTk
Part 3 (Mineshaft): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhEjQkuqpfE
Part 4 (Refinery): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FX-in-Uf-tE
Most of the players who took part were pretty new to the game (including the guys you see on the stream), so be kind. At the end of the fourth part they say that it was great fun and that they might do it again in the future. These could be empty words, but I know that at least one of the streamers (Simon, the guy with the black hair) has been a fan of this game for a long time, so it might actually come to pass.
If they could somehow be encouraged to repeat such an event (or to show some high-class matches), I think it would be a great advertisement for NS2!
