First of all Thanks to all the many different inputs (People making Seeding lists opinions from PCWs and saying etc) about how the Seeding could look like i kinda integrated and considered them on the Seeding.

So the Seeding is not finalized it can still change based on feedback here which team should go a division up or down based on reasoning or "Seeding matches".

Also i still want to leave the opportunity open for the "Looking for a Team" initiative mentioned in the last Newspost to get a Team in S11 (in case they wont get picked up by other Teams).


I will create a Poll soon if there should be 3 or 2 Divisions. (ofc you can argue about 3 or 2 divisions too but i just wait for the Poll) ?

2 divisions please

I think 3 divisions would be best. 5-6 teams per div seems sufficient.

i vote 3 divs and maybe take a look at maybe swapping elogain with either hbz or isaid i dunno the teams well enough tho

From what we heard Horror Show lost already 2 stronk players. Which hit their skill hard apperently

Horror show and us(ELOgain) are actually pretty even atm. We won 3-1 against them on thursday, but only because of a lucky baserush - if one disregards that both of us dominated as marines.
What i can say as well is that we don't stand a chance against the top4 teams - on Wednesday we didn't even come close to taking a round of Pell Mell over several maps (I think we played 4 maps)
All in all i think ELOgain should be seeded above Horror Show, idk if div1 is right for us though.

Elogain lost Infmaous and Ownzor. The only people with div 1 skill imo.

Interesting ideas here. I might even take it a step further and propose a restructuring of the competitive scene and introduce new leagues altogether. If you had a 'standard' league, you could throw all registered players into a pool, add up their collective elo rating and divide it by the number of 'would be' teams thus creating an 'average' elo rating per team. You would have a certain number of veterans matched up with a certain number of newer players per team. Each team would achieve a degree of balance and though it would make for some clunky ns2, some teams might gel better than others. It would create greater learning opportunities for the newer players especially if the teams were conducting regularly scheduled team meetups, training, drills and pcws. It has the potential to unite the ns2 community on a broader scale and grow the competitive scene at an exponential rate.

The second league would be an 'AllStars' league. Simply put, there are requirements to enter(like a minimum elo rating or something). Thus, 'Elite' ns2 thrives.

With regards to divisions and sudden death elimination, why not structure the standings like a professional sports league? In the NHL, each club plays 8 games against its four division rivals, and 4 games against its 10 non division rivals within their own conference. A victory is worth 2 points, and an overtime loss is worth 1 point.

Of course, the NHL consists of 16 teams per conference whereas I counted 17 teams for NS2 altogether, so we probably wouldn't have different conferences. But you could still have inter-division rivalries depending on the format you choose. Come playoff time, teams are eliminated based on how many points they have accumulated per their victories. Each round(aka matchup) of the playoffs it determined by a 'best of 7'(or best of 5....or best of 3, whatever suits your fancy).

I'm not sure how much of this is viable for season 11, let alone....ever. But there are probably some good ideas here with how the ns2 comp scene can be restructured to foster rapid growth.

The choosing the teams by the league would potentially make for a lot of even teams. I would fear in that scenario, people won't like their team, or won't want to go through the effort of trying to get better with players they don't know. The appeal of creating your own team is you are making the team environment for yourself. You would think the teams would be more motivated to work together in the current system. I would assume players don't want to feel like the league decided their fate.

The 2nd league idea, I don't see how it's much different than having different divisions. The divisions are already created so different skill levels in ns2 can thrive.

I would prefer the 3 division set up looking at the different ideas presented. You are just creating more lopsided games by having 2 divisions instead of 3 for what gain? NS2 is not fun when the games are terribly unbalanced. I would assume people like 2 divisions because people think it means you earned winning a division more or something. I think the positives of the 3 division setup outweigh the 2 division setup unless someone can tell me why that is preferable?

Im quite happy with how the 3 div list looks.
Far far better than the 'divisions' we had last season.

Im not entirely opposed with 2 divs, but I am worried about the number of matches we would have to cram in to fight every team.
And if you do not play vs every team in your div, its less fair due to possible team weaknesses.

I vote for having 3 divisions. Especially div3 and div2 looking pretty well balanced. There is still a big gap between the current div1 teams though. Particulary, after we lost infamous and ownzor, I don't see us having any chance in the first division.

i personally like the 3 Division setup more cause i think it will be more even games and less stomps compared to the div2 setup.

Also its more Prices in the sense of having 3 winners at least instead of 2.

what means math wise more chances for spots that win something what is potentially math wise more teams that NOT get demotivated mid season.

I agree with those two stances. In div 3 we have several complete newcomers and the skill gap is very large. I think team awesome should be in div 2, and HS or HBZ in div 1. That would make for a more balanced and fun to watch tournament in my opinion. Watching a MMA fighter beat up kindergarteners might be amusing at first, but gets boring quite fast :p

Half of SUPERDUPONT team members are newcomers or never did neither competitive games nor gathers and those who already played at least 1 season already won't be here very often. We created this team just for fun and "on the fly". More, Bauer wont play in our team.

For making ppl having fun and compared to all other div 2 teams, i'm not sure div 2 is the best div for us... really...

Maybe you should place us in div 3 and Team Awesome in div 2.

sorry but your assumption is wrong. iSay is not a higher but a lower Div2 team at the moment. Although if you guys really want to play div2 it might be possible to alter the seedings accordingly. Placing your team was/is not an easy task for us. Have you played any of the supposed Div3 teams yet? Have you played any other supposed Div2 team except iSay yet?

I cannot see Hyste beein placed in Div3 at any point in time. From my point of view it's gonna be like back then when Prommah carried the shit out of Gief Robot in the low divisions. And Hyste is not the only vet player on your Team. The thing is u might say now that your stronger players will not play but as long as they are on your roster how are we supposed to have any waranty for that? Therefore we just cannot place you in Div3 with good intention.

maybe the best thing we can do is to play 1 or 2 seeding games and see what we can do after that !

Im pretty sure that T.E.A.M is stronger than Team Awesome.
They have already proved there good play in the Newcomer Tournament.
